-- CLUB PRESIDENT BUYS
FIRST PLOTOur Phuket Flying Club President Captain Watana has bought the first plot at Phuket Airpark. Captain Watana was born in Phuket. He has 25,000 hours and 33 years as a senior Captain for Thai Airways. He has been been involved with General Aviation for 18 years and was a founding member of Thai Flying Club in Bang Phra (the first flying club in Thailand). We are very honored to have him in our community and he is a strong believer that aviation should give back to Thailand. One of his projects with Phuket Flying Club has been to assist the Thailand Environmental Institute with ecological monitoring in Thailand. Club members record environmental data and this is entered into a data base for environmental resource management -- www.phuketflyingclub.com. Captain Watana has already started designing his house, and recently he was seen at night planting the first trees for his new house. We will keep you posted on our club president's progress. |
