Pioneering the development of General Aviation in China.

"Wild Winds" was founded by Xiaoying Hou in 2015 with the purpose of
providing clear information on the progress of General Aviation in
China. Xiaoying graduated from China Foreign Affairs University in
Beijing. She speaks Chinese, English and German. She has worked for
the European Commission EU Delegation to China on trade and
investment. She has served as an English reporter for Olympic Games
in China, and has worked for VISA as a government relations
consultant. She is currently working with a German aviation company
producing propellers. She is an enthusiastic aviator in pursuit of her Private license.

1. Beijing Dingling Airport
Coordinates: 40°17'05"N x 116°13'59"E
Location: West of Dingling mausoleum (one of the Ming Tombs) in
Changping District, Beijing
Runway: single runway 530 x 30 meters
Remarks: belongs to State Grid General Aviation Company Limited
2. Beijing Jinhai Lake Airport
Flying zone level: 1B
Coordinates: TBC
Location: 1km north west of Huzhuang Village, Jinhai Lake Town,
Pinggu District, Beijing. 78kms away from Beijing city, 50kms away
from Peking International Airport.
Runway: a 1200 x 30 meters runway is expected to be built for
fixed-wings and helicopters operation.
3. Beijing Miyun Airport

Location: Close to Miyun reservoir in Mujiayu town, Miyun County,
Beijing, 40 minutes driving distance from Beijing city
Runway: 800meters (west-east direction)
Remarks: covers an area of 1100 acres, has its own flying space of
5kms radius, and has a helicopter 4S exhibition center.

Location: Close to the Badaling great wall and Guanting reservoir in
Badaling Town, Yanqing County, Beijing. 60kms away from Beijing
city.
Runway: 800*30 meters, concrete
Remarks: covers an area of 318 acres
5. Tianjin Binhai Douzhuang Airport

Location: south west of Douzhuangzi village, Taiping town, Binhai
new area, Tianjin.

-- 600 of these aircraft were lost in the Himalayas during World War II
flying supplies to the Flying Tigers in China. This flight honors the
brave pilots who fought to win the peace, and those countries today
charged with keeping the peace. |
