You will see a sign to the airport on your left (approximately 500 meters before Phoenix Golf Club). Also see the Map of local Golf Courses. Pattaya Airport is right next to Pheonix Golf. Driving from Bangkok, you can avoid traffic from sukhumvit by taking route 331 and will be easier when the new highway connect to motorway (see pic.New Highway to PAP.jpg attached)

"THE FLYER RESTAURANT"

Fly into Pattaya Airpark for breakfast, lunch or dinner at the new "Flyer Restaurant." The restaurant is up on a small hill looking out across the runway surrounded by cool shade trees and a termite mound. There is usually a nice "crosswind" breeze off the pond. This is a lovely place to relax and enjoy your "$100 hamburger" or your "$100 Kow Pat." Khun Neil welcomes you to come and enjoy watching the flying and learn more about aviation in Thailand. Email Neil or phone: 063741718. Rooms or camping facilities are available for overnight visitors.

ULTRALIGHT FLIGHT SCHOOL

Neil an can arrange an Ultralight Course for you at Pattaya Airpark (ground school and flying 20-25 hrs). The cost is 2,500 Baht per flight hour. So, if you can take 2-3 hrs. a day then the course will take 7-10 days. For ground school, the class is about 20 hrs. and the tuition fee is 500 Baht per hour. If you can arrange a group of students to take the ground school with you, then the cost will be shared (the last time we had 7 students so each of them pay about 70 Baht per hour). If only one student, Neil can arrange to get you the books and may be 3-5 hrs. tuition so you don't have to pay too much but you'll have to read a lot. You will learn in the Flightstar-II ultralight (pictured here). For more information: Email Neil
